Description
Gardenia CO₂ Extract (Gardenia jasminoides)
CO₂ extracted from the fragrant blossoms of Gardenia jasminoides, this luxurious botanical extract captures the rich floral aroma of freshly opened gardenia flowers with exceptional depth and authenticity. Unlike steam distillation, the gentle CO₂ process preserves many of the delicate aromatic compounds that give gardenia its unmistakable creamy floral character.
Its fragrance is lush and velvety, opening with radiant white petals before revealing creamy sweetness, soft green freshness and subtle fruity nuances. Rare in natural perfumery, Gardenia CO₂ lends richness, elegance and sophistication to floral, oriental and woody compositions.
Whether used as the star of a perfume or as a supporting floral note, it brings an unmistakable sense of luxury to botanical formulations.

History
Gardenia jasminoides has been cultivated in China for over a thousand years, where its exquisitely fragrant white flowers became symbols of purity, peace and quiet elegance. Planted in temple gardens, courtyards and scholar's residences, the blossoms were admired not only for their beauty but also for the rich perfume that filled the evening air.
In traditional Chinese culture, gardenia was appreciated alongside jasmine and osmanthus as one of the country's most treasured fragrant flowers. While the fruit found widespread use in herbal and artistic traditions, the flowers themselves became associated with refinement, hospitality and the changing seasons.
Because fresh gardenia flowers yield very little aromatic material through conventional distillation, authentic natural gardenia extracts have always been exceptionally rare. Modern CO₂ extraction now makes it possible to preserve much of the flower's delicate fragrance, allowing contemporary perfumers to experience one of nature's most luxurious white floral aromas with remarkable authenticity.
